She is co-author (with Ira Katznelson) Education for All: Class, Race, and the decline of the democratic ideal. Weir has also edited (with Ann Shola Orloff and Theda Skocpol) The Politics of Social Policy in the United States. She is currently working on a book about the growing political isolation of cities in the United States and an edited collection examining the social policy in the 1990s.
